Geisinger is seeking a board-certified Pulmonary and Critical Care physician with a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience and leadership education training. The role requires experience with quality initiatives, program development, and a mission-oriented vision. The candidate will have FTE allocation for leadership responsibilities and clinical duties in pulmonary and critical care. The position involves leading the Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Departments at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, focusing on recruitment, program development, best practice alignment, site-specific innovation, and oversight of the intensive care unit as medical director. This includes quality reviews, MM oversight for CCM, coordination with PI and patient safety for reports, partnership with nursing, pharmacy, RT, and management of the critical care committee. The medical director also oversees responses to infection control issues, quality issues, regulatory compliance, and DOH. Additionally, the role includes oversight of the pulmonary and critical care staff at GWV, with responsibilities for performance evaluations, quality assessment, and input for OPPE. This position reports to the Chair of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine.
