Open Rank of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine

The Department
of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at the University of New Mexico in
Albuquerque, New Mexico, invites applications for a full-time faculty position
at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. The
primary appointment will be in the Department of Anesthesiology & Critical
Care Medicine with clinical responsibilities in the Main Operating Room.
Successful candidates will join a collaborative group of experienced
anesthesiologists committed to excellence in patient care, education, research,
and service.

UNM Hospital is
the only Level I Trauma Center in New Mexico. Our Critical Care facilities
include 192 beds, with 96 dedicated ICU beds, a 20-bed pediatric intensive care
unit, 24-bed neonatal intensive care unit, 18-bed trauma surgical intensive
care unit, 6-bed burn center, and 24-bed neurosurgical intensive care unit.

The successful
candidate will provide high-quality anesthesiology care, participate in the
education and mentorship of learners, and contribute to departmental academic
and service initiatives. The University of New Mexico and the Department of

Minimum
Qualifications:

• Must hold
  unrestricted medical license
• Must hold M.D.
  or equivalent
• Must be Board
  Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology or within three years of
  residency and active in the certification process

  recent and active experience taking call in level 1 or level 3 trauma centers.
• A demonstrated
