MUSC Health Orangeburg is seeking a compassionate and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing Children’s Health team. In this role, you will provide preventive and pediatric primary care services for patients from birth through age 21 while helping improve access to high-quality healthcare in an underserved community. 
 
You will work alongside a collaborative team that includes one Pediatric Physician and four Advanced Practice Providers in a supportive environment focused on exceptional patient care, professional growth, and teamwork.

Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced Practice Provider: Nurse Practitioner (PCPNP/PNP or FNP) or Physician Assistant
  • Completion of an accredited NP or PA program 
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in South Carolina 
  • Current BLS certification 
  • DHEC and DEA applications initiated prior to start date 
  • Passion for delivering high-quality pediatric care and working as part of a multidisciplinary team

Position Highlights:

  • Provide preventive, acute, and chronic pediatric care for patients ages birth through 21 years 
  • Obtain comprehensive histories and perform physical examinations 
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients using evidence-based medicine 
  • Order and interpret laboratory, radiology, and diagnostic studies 
  • Coordinate referrals and collaborate with physicians and specialists 
  • Document and bill for direct patient care services 
  • Participate in quality improvement, compliance, and accreditation initiatives 
  • Precept APP students and assist with onboarding and development of team members 
  • Attend monthly MUSC team and pediatric department meetings
