The Permanente Medical Group of Northern California is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible (BC/BE) Pediatric Cardiologist to join The Pediatric Specialty Group at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Medical Center, located in the heart of Silicon Valley in Santa Clara, California.

The physician will provide comprehensive evaluation and management of fetuses, neonates, infants, children, and adolescents with congenital and acquired cardiovascular conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings. An expectation of this role is close collaboration with our Maternal-Fetal Medicine colleagues to deliver outstanding prenatal screening, diagnosis, counseling, and management for fetuses with congenital heart disease and cardiac dysrhythmias. The successful candidate will contribute to a highly coordinated, family-centered care model that supports patients throughout the continuum of care.

Our pediatric cardiologists are supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team that includes case managers, social workers, child life specialists, and dedicated clinical support staff. The position also offers close collaboration with pediatric cardiology colleagues throughout Northern California, as well as with our pediatric cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology programs and academic partners. This integrated network fosters a collegial, multidisciplinary environment focused on clinical excellence, innovation, and exceptional patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will possess outstanding clinical, communication, and teaching skills; demonstrate a strong commitment to patient- and family-centered care; and thrive in a collaborative academic and clinical environment.

We offer a fully integrated practice environment with an electronic medical record and a strong focus on innovation and high-quality patient care. Our inpatient facilities include a 26-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a 28-bed Pediatric Unit, and an 8-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit staffed 24/7 by Pediatric Hospitalists and Pediatric Critical Care/Intensivists. We also work closely with our Kaiser pediatric surgical and subspecialty colleagues, including the regional pediatric cardiac surgical program, as well as with our academic partners.

The San Francisco Bay Area is an exceptional place to live and offers easy access to the San Francisco Bay, Pacific Ocean, coastal and Sierra Nevada mountains, Napa and Sonoma Valleys, Monterey Bay, and more. The region’s pleasant climate provides year-round opportunities for outdoor recreation, while its vibrant communities offer outstanding cultural attractions, professional sports, and excellent schools.
