PM&R Staff Physiatrist opportunity with coveted CHRISTUS Health in Texarkana (NE Texas)

CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic in collaboration with CHRISTUS St. Michael’s hospital in Texarkana is seeking a BE/BC Rehabilitation Physician to join an established practice with extensive room for growth. This unique opportunity offers the stability and support of an employment model, combined with the ability to maximize earnings and clinical autonomy through RVU-based compensation.

Practice Highlights:

• Practice ensures a first-year income guarantee to be surpassed with an exceptional RVU-based compensation model which rewards individual performance.
• Located on 120 wooded acres, the campus is home to two (2) CHRISTUS St. Michael hospitals, which includes the main hospital and a 50-bed Rehabilitation hospital.
• The incoming physician will enjoy the collaboration of working with a dedicated rehabilitation team and convenient proximity of the support.
• Leadership Interest? The opportunity to be assigned the Associate or Assistant Medical Director of Rehabilitation Services; to be trained and mentored by the acting Medical Director who requires a back-up associate.
• There are no set clinic hours; physicians set the cadence for their schedule between clinic hours, hospital rounds, and call. 
• An In-house PA-C (APC) provides clinical care (not rehab.) Mon-Fri during daytime hours. The Saint Michael hospitalists are available for after-hours and weekends.
• Stroke patients make up the primary patient population. 
• As a non-trauma facility, the practice does not see acute spine, heads nor complex amputees. 

Hospital Services: 

• • 311-bed acute care hospital with a Level III Emergency Department and a full range of medical specialties represented.
  • Patients are admitted 7 days per week; discharges typically occur on weekdays.
  • CHRISTUS after-hours nurse triage service line ease call duties.
  • Epic EMR utilized across both clinic and hospital settings.

Qualifications:

• Unrestricted Texas License at start of practice
• Texas Registered DEA
• BC/BE Residency trained in Rehabilitation Medicine
• Upcoming graduation residents encouraged to inquire
